Terms of use
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms apply when you use TeacherStudio, provided by TeacherStudio (Pty) Ltd. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
The beta
TeacherStudio is in a free beta for invited teachers. It is provided “as is” while we test and improve it. Features, limits and prices may change, and we may end the beta. We’ll give reasonable notice before any paid plan applies to you, and you’ll never be charged without choosing a paid plan yourself.
Your account
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account per person. Invite codes are for the people they were given to.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
AI-generated content
- Lesson plans, tests, memos and other material are drafted by AI. They can contain mistakes, including wrong answers or content that doesn’t match your school’s plans. Always check material before using it with learners; you remain responsible for what you use in class.
- Curriculum suggestions (for example term plans and assessment tasks) are a guide. Your school’s and department’s requirements come first.
- You own the documents you create in TeacherStudio and may use, change and share them freely for teaching.
Fair use
AI features have monthly limits, shown in Settings. Please don’t use TeacherStudio to create harmful, unlawful or discriminatory material, to enter learners’ personal information, or to try to break or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that misuse it.
Sharing
If you share a document by link, anyone with the link can view it and copy it. Only share material you have the right to share, and stop sharing in the Library when you no longer want it available.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, TeacherStudio (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by relying on AI-generated content without checking it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
